===Create a Second Page for Mario (species)=== | ===Create a Second Page for Mario (species)===
As you can see in this deleted page, there's a lot of inconsistency about Mario. Some sources treat Mario as one specific character, while others say Mario is a species. Right now, all we have is this one Mario page which treats him as a singular character, glossing over the instances where more than one Marios appear onscreen, and not discussing the inconsistent game manual descriptions. I feel that the best way to deal with this situation is to keep this character page and make a second page for the species. It would be called Mario (species), like how Birdo (species), Yoshi (species) and Toad (species) distinguish the eponymous characters from their overall species. It would also work the same way as those pages, with the bulk of the information on this main "Mario" page, and only the stuff that's not the one guy getting moved to the other page. | As you can see in this deleted page, there's a lot of inconsistency about Mario. The Double Cherry in Super Mario 3D World allows Mario to duplicate himself. Additionally, the Pal Pill in Super Paper Mario surrounds Mario by eight miniature 8-bit copies of himself, while the ! Block in the Super Mario World television series episode "Rock TV" releases a swarm of miniature Marios. Do any of these count as instances of Mario as a species, and, if not, can they be mentioned on the article? 21:03, April 1, 2026 (UTC) | The Double Cherry in Super Mario 3D World allows Mario to duplicate himself. :I mean, Weeglee Candy counts. Why wouldn't these? 21:25, April 1, 2026 (UTC) | :I mean, Weeglee Candy counts. Why wouldn't these? 21:25, April 1, 2026 (UTC)
