The Golden Pipe (formerly known as Star Pipe) is a normal item that first appears in Mario Party DS, which functions similarly to the Genie Lamp of previous Mario Party games. It can be bought in any Item Shop after the fifth round. It costs fifteen coins, and when used it will take the player directly to the location of the Star, but the player still has to trade coins to buy one. In Kamek's Library, the pipe will take the player to the Lucky Jar that contains the star.

The Golden Pipe is a normal item that appears in Super Mario Party, functioning similarly to the Genie Lamp, Flutter Orb, and Star Pipe from previous Mario Party games. It places the player one space away from the Star, which means players can buy it afterwards unless they roll a 0.
The item appears in Super Mario Party under its current name. This item is normally bought for ten coins, and the player still has to trade coins to buy the star. A small difference in behavior is that the pipe places the player directly beside the star, rather than on top of it.

The item returns in Mario Party Superstars, where it replaces the Genie Lamp from the original games. It can be bought for 25 coins. As it is not possible to roll a 0, the pipe effectively guarantees the player will reach the Star on the same turn, although they still have to pay for the Star as usual. Toadette will also act shocked as the player warps.
