It offers a handling and acceleration boost at the cost of weight and traction. It has inside drifting, and shares its stats with the other non-DLC inside-drifting bikes, which includes the [[Sport Bike]], the [[Jet Bike]], and the [[Yoshi Bike]]. It is the only bike with a four-cylinder engine, and is one of the few vehicles in ''Mario Kart 8'' to have a supercharger.

A CPU-controlled [[Mario]] will occasionally use this bike body (paired alongside the [[Slim (tire)|Slim]] tires), making him the only non-DLC character to use this bike body as a CPU, as well as the only non-DLC CPU character to use a Sport Bike; the other CPUs (except [[Link]], who might use the [[Master Cycle]], and the [[Villager|Female Villager]] and also [[Isabelle]], who might use the [[City Tripper]]) will only use the [[Standard Bike]] whenever they're using bikes.
