The '''Big Lantern Ghost''' is the mid-boss of the [[Shy Guy's Toy Box]] from ''[[Paper Mario]]''. He is a giant [[Lantern Ghost]] with a bandage on his forehead who resides in an extremely dark room. 

In battle [[Mario]] and his partners should attack the ghost's lantern, which in turn causes the room to brighten. When the room is lit enough that the ghost can be seen, Mario and company can attack him directly. After the ghost is defeated, Mario can shatter the lantern with his [[Hammer]]. A [[Li'l Sparky]] named [[Watt]] will emerge from the lantern. After Mario frees her, Watt becomes Mario's sixth companion.

A lone Big Lantern Ghost also appears in a cave area in [[Bandit Valley]] in the game ''[[Yoshi's New Island]]''. It can be swallowed by Yoshi to become a [[Mega Eggdozer]] so that the nearby blockade can be cleared.
