When [[Mario]] helps [[The Whale]] on the belly-ache problem, the Whale thanked Mario as he tells to the plumber that he should be a Doctor like [[Dr. Mario]]. For helping the Whale, the Whale will let Mario to go anywhere especially [[Lavalava Island]]. [[Kolorado]] joins Mario and his partner to go to Lavalava Island after Mario prepares to pack up his items. When Mario arrives to the island with the Whale, Mario and his partner attempts to find the Firth [[Star Spirit]], [[Misstar]] in the island as Kolorado starts to explore the place as Chapter 5 starts.

Mario may see Bellbell Plants during exploring around the island. When Mario attempts to examine it or whacks it with his current [[Hammer]], they ring, giving Mario a hint that there may be a location of a hidden [[? block]] near to the Bellbell Plant that may contain an item or [[Coins]]. Mario can use [[Watt]] to find ? Blocks as well.
