The player is given an individual score each end, which is totalled up after several ends to decide their placement in the event. In the event of a tie in point score, the archer who took the shortest time to aim wins. To aim each shot, the player must hold down the A and B buttons and pull the Wii Remote towards them to draw their arrow. The cursors for the Wii Remote and Nunchuk will then appear on a target face, and the player can aim their shot by pointing the Wii Remote at the screen to move the cursor to their desired area of the target while it is still drawn back, and move the Nunchuk cursor to overlap it by tilting the Nunchuk in the desired direction. The Wii Remote cursor is a red cross, while the Nunchuk cursor is a green square with a Nunchuk in it that indicates the direction the player should tilt it in to align their shot, which shines yellow when the two are overlapping. The closer the two are to each other, the more accurate the shot will be. As well as where the player aims, the shot is affected by the wind speed and direction, which is indicated before the player takes their shot and remains constant for the duration of the shot. The wind will blow the player's arrow off in the direction of the arrow indicating the speed, with the distance depending on strength of the wind, which ranges from 0 to 9m. The player has thirty seconds to make their shot, which is done by releasing the A and B Buttons. If an arrow lands in the inner gold ring of the target, the player scores 10 points, with each ring outwards from that scoring one fewer point down to one for the outer white ring. Shots which land anywhere else on the boss or miss the target entirely do not score any points and are counted as a miss. If the player does not release a shot within their thrity seconds, the shot will also be counted as a miss. | ||
