Super Mario Compact Disco is an album originally released only in Japan on August 1, 1993. It features a collection of raps performed by the Ambassadors of Funk, which are remixes of music from Super Mario games. In between raps, the main rapper, calling himself MC Mario, provides interstitials, as if running a radio show. The album was later made available in the United States through iTunes,[1] Amazon as an MP3 album or a manufacture-on-demand CD.[2]

For the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. a special edition of the album titled Super Mario Compact Disco – 35th Anniversary Edition was released, featuring remastered tracks and five bonus tracks.[3]
