Kitchen Island is the setting for Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. It is a skull shaped island that is the home base for Captain Syrup and the Brown Sugar Pirates. There are seven areas to the game, each one containing hidden treasure and one boss character at the end of each area.

Stage 1: Rice Beach

Rice Beach is a basic starting world, with several beach-themed levels. The final couple of levels take place in the caverns at the back of the beach. The boss of the area is what looks like a Koopatrol but without the metal armor.

Stage 2: Mt. Teapot

Mount Teapot is a giant mountain shaped like a teakettle, filled with hot springs and some lava areas. The mountain's lid-shaped top hovers up and down because of the steam, out of reach until Mario activates a special trigger, canceling the steam and giving access to the mountaintop. The boss of the area is a muscular minotaur that tries to knock Wario off of a platform into the lava. He can be defeated quite easily by stunning him once and throwing him into the lava..

Stage 3: Sherbet Land

Completing Mount Teapot normally will take Wario to Stove Canyon. However if Wario goes through a secret exit in one of the first stages of Mount Teapot, Wario will reach Sherbet Land, the mountainous arctic area of the game, the first stage consisting of bridges leading to the frozen mountain range. The stage is filled with ice, slippery areas abounding throughout the area. Sherbet Land is also unique in that it has enemies permanently frozen in ice in the background. Sherbet Land's boss area is unmarked, but the boss, a giant penguin with a spiked helmet and spiked boxing gloves, can be beaten two different ways. Normally, or by leaving through the door in the boss's room.

Stage 4: Stove Canyon

A sunken cavern near the center of the island. The area is filled with cavernous levels and lava, making travel difficult. The boss of the Canyon is a giant, floating tiki head with a stone tongue that can shatter the platforms Wario stands on, and spit balls of hot lava rocks which can be thrown back at him.

Stage 5: S.S. Teacup

The levels in this area consist not only of the pirate ship itself, but the caverns, beaches, oceans, and jungles surrounding it. The boss of the pirate ship is Captain Syrup's pet, a massive buzzard named Bobo.

Stage 6: Parsely Woods

This is a large forest area, with two stages that take place on moving shipment trains and two other stages that involve climbing fork-shaped trees in addition to other forest-themed stages. The boss of this area is a giant version of the ghost enemies found in this area.

Stage 7: Syrup Castle

A large, imposing tower at the corner of the island, a stone fortress with a skull-shaped castle at the top. As Wario fights his way up the tower, he destroys it bit-by-bit, revealing that its foundation is actually the giant golden Princess Peach statue. The final battle is against Captain Syrup, revealed to be a woman. She conjures a genie to fight Wario, and upon her defeat, tries to take Wario out by dropping a huge bomb that destroys the last of her castle.
