Bats are enemies from the game Mario vs. Donkey Kong. They are very similar to Dorachū from Donkey Kong on the Game Boy. They fly horizontally across the screen. When they hit Mario, they hang onto him and appear to suck a little bit of blood out of him, causing Mario to fall off the rope he is currently climbing. After falling to the ground, Mario gets up again. Mario can also get defeated by the bats if he falls too far after dropping from the rope.
