Australasia is a Continent in the Real World, located in the larger region called the Oceania. It consists of Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. It is also part of the PAL Region, alongside Europe. However, Australasia is usually ignored in the Video Game market, and not much emphasis is put onto it. Despite this, it has made a few appearances in the Marioverse. However, most of these were in the Mario TV series. Firstly, it was mentioned in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, in the episode, Stars in Their Eyes / Alligator Dundee. Alligator Dundee, an Australian man, appeared at the Mario Bros. Plumbing building. He is hutning the mysterious sewer creature, the Ratigator. It was finally seen in Crocodile Mario / Rowdy Roddy's Rotten Pipes. Later, it appeared in an episode of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, called 7 Continents for 7 Koopas. When King Koopa tried to conquer the entire Real World, he ordered Cheatsy Koopa to capture Australia. Neither New Zealand, or Indonesia have been seen in the TV series. Australasia has not appeared in any of the games, so far.
