- A creature resembling a Bone Dragon, called Bonecoaster, appears in Level 8-7 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Nintendo's official magazine Nintendo Power had a tendency to misspell Dixie Kong's name as "Daisy Kong" occasionally.
- In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Marth and Roy were originally intended to be playable only in the Japanese version of the game which is the reason for their unlocalized voice act.
