PSI Magnet

PSI Magnet is one of the attacks that Ness can use in Super Smash Bros. series. The attack can be done by pressing Down + Special move button. It is one of the few attacks that "absorb" attacks, rather than deflect them. Once used, any energy-matter projectiles that hit Ness (in contrast to objects, such as items that are thrown) are absorbed, and Ness is healed.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Lucas is be able to use PSI Magnet as well. Serving the same purpose it did in the last two games, there are are a few differences in this version. Lucas creates a shield in front of him, not all around him, but will turn to absorb attacks from behind, if need be. Lucas's PSI Magnet shocks the foe for slight damage if he or she happens to be touching it when Lucas drops the shield. Additionally, Ness's PSI Magnet pushes enemies away when dropped in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
