Krossbones
From the Super Mario Wiki
Donkey Kong battling three Krossbones.
Krossbones are skeletal Kritters found in Donkey Kong 64.
Krossbones are semi-common enemies found in Creepy Castle and Fungi Forest at night. Unlike normal Kritters who attack by biting and punching, Krossbones attack by swinging a bone club that seems to be a part of their body. Krossbones can be defeated by simply pummeling them; whenever a Krossbones is hit with an attack one of their body parts fall off. Krossbones also appear in several of the later Battle Arena Pads in Donkey Kong 64. They take at the most, three hits before going down.
Interestingly enough, when hit by an orange grenade, Krossbones will lose their body parts and go down with one hit.
