Fliprus Lake, or Frosted Glacier-Fliprus, is the secret course of Frosted Glacier in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is accessed via the secret exit of Swaying Ghost House, and its own completion reveals a Spine Coaster that rides to Rock-Candy Mines and allows access to Fuzzy Clifftop.

Layout[edit]

The level begins with a ? Block containing a power-up, as well as a Fliprus. Some floating crates that can be used as platforms are found in the water, along with River Piranha Plants. A section of icy ground follows, along with a Koopa Troopa and a Fliprus located on a floating crate. A Koopa Troopa is found on a ? Block containing a power-up, and is followed by a Fliprus. A River Piranha Plant and some more floating crates are found. A Fliprus is located on a vertical lift, with a Brick Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom that can be accessed using a Koopa Troopa's shell following it. More Flipruses and River Piranha Plants are found in a section with more crates floating in the water. A Koopa Troopa is found on a ? Block containing a power-up. A section with more Flipruses, River Piranha Plants, and crates follows. Three more crates and a Fliprus are found before the Goal Pole.

Star Coins[edit]

  • Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin sits off-screen, above three moving Brick Blocks and a red Koopa Troopa.
  • Star Coin 2: Above the second Fliprus on a lift, there is a green Warp Pipe (pictured). It takes Mario to a small area with two Flipruses and the second Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 3: The player must use floating crates to get the third Star Coin, found inside the last piece of ceiling of the level.
