Skyward Stalk, or Sparkling Waters-, is the secret course of Sparkling Waters in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked via the secret exit in Haunted Shipwreck. Its completion skips Soda Jungle and unlocks Rock-Candy Mines and Fuzzy Clifftop. Its name may be a reference to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, another game produced by Nintendo.

Layout

The course's main feature is a constantly growing beanstalk that sprouts giant leaves and other plant life. The level autoscrolls upward.

• Star Coin 2: On an orange bridge, covered by light clouds.
• Star Coin 3: Near the end of the course, to the right side.
