Pink Bandits are common enemies found in Dry Dry Desert in Paper Mario. They can spot Mario from a decent distance compared to other enemies and, upon doing so, will dash at him in a straight line until they reach the edge of the area and then dash towards the last position the plumber was at when they start dashing again.

In battle, Bandits often appear in gangs of multiple other bandits, though some occasionally accompany Pokeys. Their primary means of attack is to charge into Mario to steal his coins and hurt him in the process. If Mario fails to perform the defensive Action Command, the Bandit will steal a certain amount of coins from Mario and run away from battle as soon as possible. However, if Mario defends himself, the Bandit will get no coins and will have an embarrassed face while making the same pouting noise as a blocked Shy Guy. Mario can recollect his coins by damaging or defeating the Bandit(s) who stole them.
