Just to let you know, regarding the images you uploaded (especially :File:SMO - Bitefrost Stage 1.png), it would be best to simply upload them with the backgrounds intact (rectangular cropping to trim any unnecessary parts of the image can be done if needed), and in the original JPG format (assuming they were captured directly from the game), as converting from JPG to PNG, directly cropping out the subject of the image and applying transparency is prohibited according to policy due to the rough edges the resulting image can leave behind. 06:25, 28 November 2017 (EST)

:Hmm ok. Some research: Quoting M&SG from that "6-year old passed proposal" that you added to the rules in *ahum* *drum rolls* <p style="text-decoration:underline;">October this year</p>Like literally a month ago. “I’ve been noticing that a good number of JPEG artworks were being replaced by PNG artworks with transparent backgrounds. However, a lot of those images look quite ugly”. Agreeably, it has been put to nicer words in the rules. So what you’re basically saying is, the artwork I’ve cropped and turned into transparent pictures do not meet the expectations of your personal vision of ‘beautiful’ and you’re telling me that now, after uploading e l e v e n pictures in the EXACT same way? Yeah, you could say that I’m a "bit" offended. Not at all because I do not respect the rules, just the timing... It's bold. I spent a lot of time trying to get those png's reasonable without the rough edges you speak of, because heck, I do indeed understand the rule and I agree to some extent. All I’m trying to do here is better that image of transparent pictures and contribute to this wiki in a positive way, so yeah, this is a major let down for me… It feels like my work is invalidated. Despite my uh... explosive response, I will gladly take your criticism to heart. <s>I must say the rule's a bit nitpicky, but nevermind, I understand.</s> If deletion is your goal, please do, the faster the better :) --YeeMeYee (talk) 07:46, 28 November 2017 (EST)

::They were uploaded within a single day in my time zone, so that's why I only just picked up on them. And I never said it was for the sake of meeting my own expectations. It's a rule that was agreed upon and is actively enforced by the community, as we've had numerous cases where such modifications only led to a bloat in file size and overall worsening in quality, so it's advised that those images should be uploaded as is. The general intention of your uploads is still appreciated and was in good faith, so don't take my comment as total invalidation to your work. They can simply be replaced with the original JPGs, if you still have them. Sorry you went through the effort of cropping them out. 05:27, 29 November 2017 (EST)
