== RE:Daisy's Amount of Appearances ==

:Voilá! There you go {{User:Coincollector/sig}}
Alright, let's break this down one by one:
#"''arguments about how we don't say something like this for other characters as a defense against the information. But you can't apply this statement to other characters''"<br>That specific information, sure. But if we keep listing the amount of appearances every character has and then say "aside from this other character", the information will go on forever on every character's page and would make it strenuous, excessive, and even more unnecessary.
#"''Daisy appearing in so many video-games, especially with so many playable appearances, and being a female character, is the kind of thing they put in the Guinness world record books.''"<br>Daisy's pretty common in the spin-off titles, it'd be more noteworthy if she was seen outside of a standard Nintendo game, like [[SSX on Tour|Mario, Luigi, and Peach]]. And is there actually anything in the Guinness books about Daisy? If so, then it might be noteworthy to add. Peach is a noteworthy female character that has appeared in several games because of her role. Daisy's role is supportive, at one point even acting as the game's Peach.
#"''They may have even done so for Peach already if I recall.''"<br>That's Peach. This is Daisy. Comparing the amount of games Daisy is in to Peach's amount of appearances is unnecessary, especially when Daisy has such a meager amount comparatively.

== RE: The Rouge quotes fiasco ==
I like Daisy, I really do, but I find adding this information pointless. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 14:55, 22 March 2018 (EDT)
:'''''Also''''', don't keep readding the information back, as that would be edit warring. Instead, if you really feel like this information should stay, a discussion should take place on her talk page to see who agrees and disagrees. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 14:58, 22 March 2018 (EDT)

Hi there; I apologize if it wasn't clear -- it's just that the phrases that Rouge says in MSOWG still don't relate to her main personality herself from the Sonic games in general. The quotes you attempted to list were still "general phrases" in nature from what we saw after taking a second look. Now if there was a line that matched Rouge perfectly describing her character overall, then it would have passed. Sorry, but we failed to see that in MSOWG. Thanks for asking. However, I'm still happy that you improved the rest of the said article, no doubt. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! [[User:MeritC|User Page]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 19:02, 24 October 2009 (EDT)
#"''Uh, Peach has appeared in 97, actually. That's 17 more than Daisy, so that is no meager amount, comparatively.''"<br>In that case, maybe say the correct number then? "80" is more than "60" after all.
#"''It's odd to me you're now saying, "That's Peach. This is Daisy. Comparing the amount of games Daisy is in to Peach's amount of appearances is unnecessary," when your main argument against this was how we could then say this type of thing for other characters, but we couldn't, anyway.''"<br>What I mean is that a comparison in general isn't necessary. Eighty is certainly impressive, but compared to Peach, it's second place at best.
#"''Daisy is the one female video-game character in the world with the most video-game appearances... aside from Peach.''"<br>My point exactly.
#"''If Luigi had the most aside from Mario, that's significant, too.''"<br>It is not.
#"''Culture regards female videogame characters to an obviously different regard.''"<br>Maybe, but in this day and age, female video game characters are not a new thing. Peach's information is even delegated to [[Princess Peach#Trivia|her trivia]], and it's only there because of her starting appearance, her role, and the absolute fact that she has appeared in more video games than any other female character. Daisy does not have that distinction.
#"''It's significant to Daisy because there are no other female characters aside from the obvious, Peach.''"<br>[[Pauline]], [[Birdo]], [[Wendy O. Koopa]], female [[Pianta]]s, female [[Noki]]s, [[Rosalina]], [[Hariet]]. And that's not including the spin-off titles.
#"''It's not focusing on comparing her to Peach, though, so I don't know why you're focusing in on this in regards to other characters.''"<br>"aside from Peach." Seems pretty focused to me.
#"''We clearly don't agree.''"<br>No, it appears we do not. As I said above, post something on her talk page or maybe respond to Baby Luigi's topic that is already there.
#"''other user''"<br>She has a name, you know. No need to be rude.
#"''Is there actually anything wrong with stating how many games she's been in so far?''"<br>Not in and of itself. Perhaps there is a different way to word it, but again, why just Daisy? Why don't we put how many games every character has been in on their pages? In theory, it seems like good information to have in an infobox section maybe, but ''again'', it should be discussed.
{{User:Alex95/sig}} 15:47, 22 March 2018 (EDT)

== Surprised? ==
Sure, I have some minutes to kill before I go to bed.
#"''I don't follow? What are you getting those numbers from?''"<br>Uh, the 60 is from the statement in question, whereas the 80 is from your numbers mentioned above. 97 games Peach has appeared in minus the difference of 17 games that Daisy is not in equals the total of 80 that Daisy appears in.
#"''No other female characters with that many appearances, obviously. Not even just Mario characters, either. All video game characters.''"<br>Alright, I'll give you that.
#"''That's not me being rude, that's me not recalling that other user's name. No need to micromanage intentions like that.''"<br>Apologies. Baby Luigi and I on Discord both thought that was you being angry at her. I'll apologize for the both of us if that is not the case. Page history is a thing, though.
#"''That part of it is simple information that would be a part of her intro section. It doesn't have to be some approved guideline followed on everyone's page.''"<br>It both does and it doesn't. Luigi has appeared in more games than Daisy, Peach has appeared in more games than Luigi, and Mario has appeared in more games than Peach. If we're going to include this information, then it shouldn't be a situation unique to Daisy as that seems arbitrary.
#"''I'm not here to start a proposal to reformat the wiki. I used to do that all the time and it's always more trouble than it's worth.''"<br>Hey, you never know until you try. I have a few failed and cancelled proposals myself. It's just meant to serve as a way to get opinions, and if it actually goes through, then yay!
#"''hopefully it's fine that I add it back in without the latter part you two have focused in on so intently.''"<br>I'll say this again, ''it should be a discussion first''. Not just with me, but with the community. Talk about the pros and cons of this situation and see what other users have to say on this matter. Doesn't have to be a proposal, just a simple discussion. If you do end up doing this, be sure to link to our discussion here on both our talk pages so other users have a better reference for the topic.
Before I head to bed, I want to specify that there a few major problems with the sentence and the information it holds. Hopefully this clears up any remaining problems:
#"''With the frequent release of Mario installments,''"<br>This is relevant because why? ''Mario'' games are released frequently anyway.
#"''Daisy has been in over 60 video games so far,''"<br>So has a majority of the main cast of characters in the ''Mario'' series. Daisy isn't unique in this regard.
#"''the most of any female character besides Princess Peach.''"<br>Herein lies the major issue: the comparison. She may be the second most reoccurring female video game character (maybe), but the problem here is "second most". I may just be repeating myself, but anything other than the actual record holder is unnecessary. We don't give these numbers on Luigi's page, or Bowser's page, or Amy Rose's page, or Chun-Li's page. All four of those examples have appeared in a plethora of titles, but only Mario's and Peach's records hold any relevancy.
Overall, this information isn't false or invalid, but the way it is worded and presented makes it irrelevant due to the added exception of Princess Peach. A comparison isn't needed, not even it being in sentence form is needed. A simple number in the character infobox could maybe possibly work, though anyone can look at the table of appearances at the bottom of their pages, but I'll leave that to you to decide if you feel like going through with that discussion or not.<br>Until tomorrow, good night. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 01:18, 23 March 2018 (EDT)

Well, I saw that the quality is the same for the images you've replaced, so I think it's not necessary to upload duplicate images, don't you think? I'll recommend you to stop uploading these images since it's not needed to upload them with the same quality. Additionally uploading them in PNG format only makes the file obese and NEVER enhances quality, believe me... {{User:Coincollector/sig}}
== Image categories ==

:No, that wasn't cropped... :/ {{User:Coincollector/sig}}
Hello! When you upload images, please also include an image category relating to the game it is from. For example, your recent ''Mario Tennis Aces'' images would be placed in [[:Category:Mario Tennis Aces Images]]. Thanks! --{{User:TheFlameChomp/sig}} 10:23, 15 April 2018 (EDT)

::Actually it does enhance quality, for an example check here:[http://earthbound.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Gamefreak75 look at the section titled .'''jpg'''].--{{User:Gamefreak75/Sig}}
== Re: Mario Tennis Aces - Daisy Artwork ==

Sorry, but I do know the difference between the images you uploaded and the old ones. The quality it's the same if you see at max resolution for both of those images. By the way, let me know which is the page where you found those images...{{User:Coincollector/sig}}
Found it in the "Technique" section in the the Japanese website: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/switch/alera/technique/index.html <br>
[https://i.imgur.com/mmfGi8H.png Image] You probably didn't see that coming.<br>
You're welcome - {{User:Infinite8/sig}} 15:07, 26 May 2018 (EDT)

:@ Gamefreak. Not exactly. If the original image is PNG and you turn into JPG, this will lose quality. BUT if you turn a JPG image into PNG, the quality is the same but the size of the file increases. {{User:Coincollector/sig}}
== Deanna Mustard interview; Email==
::Per Coincollector. Turning a JPG image into PNG only makes it consume more space, except in the cases that the image is compressed (which basically reduces the size while keeping the quality... If you use the right program and know what you are doing). {{User:Super Paper Mario Bros./sig}} 22:01, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
Hi, also a huge Princess daisy fan but I want to sya thanks for posting this amazing interview of Deanna Mustar. It's not often you've seen an interview from her given that she lives a personal life and seldom accepts interviews. I dunno if your allowed to ask this on the talk page of if it would be better to sent it on my talk page but do you know her email and how did you get it cause I know you said it was through someone on flickr but how?--[[User:PrincessDaisyfan85|PrincessDaisyfan85]] ([[User talk:PrincessDaisyfan85|talk]]) 11:34, 2 September 2018 (EDT)

:::I knew the first part, but with my experience, the second part makes the quality worse...It's probably the pictures I used. But usually what messes up is the background. :/ --{{User:Gamefreak75/Sig}}
== Forum account...? ==

Ok, since everybody seems to be coming to my talk page to talk about this I'll say it here. I didn't find the images as jpgs in the first place. I found them as full size high quality arts and then saved them as pngs. They didn't have a save option and were not jpg. Also, were not the same images that previously existed. [[User:ForeverDaisy09|FD09]]
Hey, was trying to recall if I ever asked you this before, but do you still have an account at the MarioWiki forums, by any chance? There's something that I want to see about asking you that's Princess Daisy related, but can't be discussed on your talk page because of "internal stuff" and such. Let me know as soon as you get this; thanks so much. --M. C. - [[User:MeritC|Profile]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 12:51, 5 October 2018 (EDT)

@ Gamefreak: well, depending the software you use, the image you're converting will take some determined measures. And as for FD09, I know the problem and your efforts but I'm afraid that's not needed by now. The quality is the same really, I should tell you I found these images with the same resolution and low file size that is nice to save server's space and load pages quickly. {{User:Coincollector/sig}}

==Images==
I'm confused at your edit warring with the ''Super Mario Party'' images. You're reverting to the exact same image, just with a wider blank canvas. There's no need for that space, and your latest revision of the Daisy image makes even less sense as all it did was increase the KB count. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 12:56, 8 October 2018 (EDT)
I'm actually uploading the remaining images that I tried to upload for one whole day. You see, I gathered about 600 images quite a while ago this year to beat Shroobario's image record, 294. I've uploaded over 300 images, but have the other half left. So I'm trying to upload all of it as best as I can... right now, I can't remember where I get those images, but I remembered that I used Google to find all the images in unique ways, like finding images larger than a computer screen perhaps. Don't be surprised if I'm still uploading them, the very last image will have a note that says I'm done uploading the rest of the other 300 images. XD {{User:RAP/sig}}
:How has Daisy's image been edited? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 13:11, 8 October 2018 (EDT)
::Ah, it's a subtle difference, but I see it. For future reference, though: Avoid these edit wars. Better to talk it out first than continuing the make the edit or revision. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 13:17, 8 October 2018 (EDT)

I haven't checked the wiki records, but last time I checked, I was the highest image uploader in the wiki; and I wll continue to be after uploading a few goodies. There's some competition with other users, but I got to be friendly with them (but haven't talked to them... XD), but there's a certain user who didn't responded to a certain comment. [[User talk:Lindsayoris15]] to be exact. Anyhow, I have to go, I have other matters to take care of. Talk to you later. :P {{User:RAP/sig}}

That image was part of the 300 images that I'm trying to upload. I think it came from the public FTP server of Sega. You should really thank them due to their open-ness to their "press materials". {{User:RAP/sig}} [[Special:Contributions/RAP|There are more images to go. ;)]]

It's not really a joke, there's actually a FTP server that Sega has, to host various materials. Those images? Awwwwwww... you didn't find them? I haven't seen the page since, but it's still open, along with "The Conduit", and other folders. Maybe I'll search for it, hmmm. {{User:RAP/sig}}

Regarding your recent upload, {{tem|aboutfile}} and categorisation were not done properly. For the former, the parameters you're not using (in this case "<code>|4=Resized</code>" and "<code>|5=Other versions (use file link)</code>") should be removed, and an image category link is added as <code><nowiki>[[Category:Mario Kart Tour Images]]</nowiki></code>, not <code><nowiki>{{Mario Kart Tour Images}}</nowiki></code>, as the notice one post up explains. The game's title is also not a proper source.

As I said, I haven't been there since around May or June. I don't think that the two images were there, maybe try creatively searching those images. {{User:RAP/sig}}
That said, please try to avoid these kinds of shoddy edits to the source image, because aside from the poor transparency it looks like the artwork itself has been touched up a bit. Unless the source was [https://cdn.mariokarttour.com/stylesheets/images/b36gOpJHlXXE7LDn_bdGCsgJPKwsXJxDZbv1VX8mY93.png this image] from the website, if possible please upload it ''unmodified'' (cropping is allowed, but not like that) and with the correct source added in the summary. I understand it's a new render but we shouldn't have this level of quality for an image on such a high-traffic subject. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 21:12, August 28, 2019 (EDT)

== Peach's article itself ==
:This is the same image you uploaded before but with the white background. Did you get this from somewhere else or edit this yourself? The image from the website is smaller than that, and as I've already mentioned images shouldn't be modified to this degree. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 20:59, August 29, 2019 (EDT)

I recall your saying about Peach's article itself when it was "nominated" -- I honestly didn't see anything wrong with it since it was good so far. What were your concerns about it? --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! [[User:MeritC|User Page]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 20:56, 29 October 2009 (EDT)

Okay, upon closer inspection, the Peach art for NSMB Wii has got my attention too from all angles because it's too good. However, I believe when the time comes to change said picture on her infobox, we need to upload said art from the source where Arend got it -- it's currently in PNG and upon closer inspection, it had a slight image quality loss. --M. I like it the way it is now. It's organized in a logical fashion that gives no type of media more merit or importance than any other. Your proposed scheme of organization seems to value the game-related area of a given article more than the other forms. {{User:Bloc Partier/sig}}
:Decent argument, but my opinion still stands. And anyway, I shouldn't have to defend it. That's not how our proposal system works. {{User:Bloc Partier/sig}}

The difference could possibly be that you're using a high-ratio screen while I have one in 4:3. The images take half of the page and half for the text, looking like a newspaper. As for the proposal, among the main rules consist that users must vote that back up the proposal and not a condition just for a change. And between, do you think the user Time Q is conspiring against you...? {{User:Coincollector/sig}}

:Maybe but then the text becomes tiny... <s>crap</s> {{User:Coincollector/sig}}

Just to clarify that: Of course I'm NOT conspiring against you... Those votes weren't valid really. Look at the top of the page, it says that "I like this idea!" doesn't suffice as a valid reason, and that was basically what those users wrote. Believe it or don't, I would also have removed those votes if they were in the oppose section. {{User:Time Q/sig}} 08:09, 10 November 2009 (EST)

Hi. First of all, congrats that your proposal passed. I want to warn you though that I and some other users are going to propose to revert the proposal as soon as we are allowed to (which is in 4 weeks). Maybe you could wait until then before you make huge changes to articles that may need to be reverted afterwards? That's just a suggestion, of course you may also ignore that and do any changes you want as long as they conform to your proposal. It's just that it would be a pity if we'd need to revert all that afterwards. {{User:Time Q/sig}} 12:28, 10 November 2009 (EST)

==Proposal...==
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the other Administrators and I have decided to veto your proposal on changing the History Organization Standard for the character biographies. The Wiki's already had its Histories reorganized twice, and combined with the absolutely unorganized pages, we have four standards kicking around, not to mention countless smaller variations found from page to page. Not one of those standards is perfect (personally, I'm not a huge fan of our current series-sub-divided method), but the Wiki's disorganized enough as it is, and we can't change things up any more without first fixing what we've already done. Us Admins are largely to blame for dragging our feet so long when it comes to updating the neglected pages, but hopefully that will change now that you've brought our attention back to the underlying issues of the inconsistent Histories plaguing the Wiki - it's just regrettable that you did it at the expense of your own idea. Please accept our apologies for this whole debacle, and try to understand that we had no choice but to come to the difficult decision of revoking your proposal. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 01:12, 11 November 2009 (EST)
:Please believe me when I say we would have reacted the same way if anyone else had proposed another change, even if they had been an Admin themselves. We do understand that you're mad, and I appreciate the fact that you're not taking it out on me. As for what's going to happen now... we'll continue to update pages to the current History Organization Standard. The problem is that it's such a huge undertaking - many of these pages need to be totally rewritten in some parts, and most people look at things like [[Mario]] and run for the hills (myself included, I'm ashamed to admit). There's no simple way to turn the crappy pages like [[Koopalings]] into good pages - we just have to keep widdling away at the mountain, as we always have (for example, I've been updating the individual Koopaling pages, such as [[Iggy Koopa]], and they're slowly looking better; if memory serves, I also had a hand in reorganizing [[Princess Daisy]]). We'll fix this place up, even if it takes a few more years. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 02:30, 11 November 2009 (EST)
::The reason everything is in disorder is because we've kept changing how things are organized, yet haven't bothered updating everything accordingly. That leaves us with multiple generations of History Organization Standards dotting the wiki: we have continuous game-only timelines; continuous mixed-media timelines; timelines subdivided into series; timelines with creative headers; timelines mashed into rambling introductions; timelines that start with "Yoshi's Island"; timelines that have "background" sections... It's an ugly, ugly mess, but there's no quick fix. Even if we were to sit down and dream up a perfect organization standard right now, that doesn't change the fact that thousands of pages would need to be changed, and hundreds of those will require complete overhauls. It's not just characters, remember: items, species, places and organizations all have histories too, so whatever we do to the characters has to be done to everything else. It's not so much the specific standards that are broken: the sheer logistics is what's slowing us down and what has made the other Admins and I wary of another major change. The last standard was decided upon months ago, but we're barely halfway through implementing it, so if we change it again, we'll have to redo what we've already redone and only ''then'' can we move on to the pages that weren't updated at all last time, many of which were left unchanged because they're the ones that require rewrites - thus we hit the same brick wall every other wave of change has hit. The sad truth is that most people don't have enough initiative to write/rewrite every page, and even those of us who want to can't always muster the energy (I find that by the tenth or so major rewrite, I'm sick and tired of editing for the night). We have to fix the horrible pages, but that's only going to be done if the easy jobs are already finished, which is why we can't change the standard anymore; the current system isn't perfect, but at least it's established in the database. We just need to buckle down and tackle the neglected pages; once everything's fleshed out and formatted nicely, reorganizing will be fast and easy, since we'll just have to move the existing sections around and change some headers, but getting to that point is what's gonna take time. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 01:06, 14 November 2009 (EST)

== Peach/Daisy in Film ==
I've seen the movie several times and have watched it several times the last week. There's little difference between blonde and "dirty" blonde. They're both "blonde". Daisy also ''is'' brunette, if you look at her actual artwork. An orangeish-tint doesn't remove from the brunette foundation.

Finally, there's no such thing as a gender-role-specific profession. Being a paleontologist does not make Daisy more or less masculine. (It would be wise to know the facts yourself, considering she wasn't a paleontologist at all... She was a university student) Daisy's personality was shy, quiet, and overtly-intimate. She hadn't a single tomboyish or masculine trait, such as brashness, initiative, or resolve. All indications point to her being Peach with a composite name, so don't be such a fangirl. : I didn't insult you, nor did I suggest you were a girl. Even if I did, why should that be taken as an insult/offense? If anything you insulted me first by suggesting I "don't know the facts".

: Daisy may be a redhead to some degree, but red hair typically darkens and become brunette with age. She very much appears to have brunette hair in her recent appearances. In any case, the fact Daisy is a redhead or brunette while the in-film Daisy is blonde should suggest Peach by your own logic, should it not? [[User:Redstar|Redstar]] 00:53, 22 November 2009 (EST)

: It may have been a personal insult to you, but it was not meant as such from me. I didn't even use it to suggest gender.

: I have two redheaded sisters, a once-redheaded father, and have dated several redheads. I know redhair. I know what it's like. Daisy is a red-tinted brunette, but in the end her hair color doesn't matter... Because the in-film character Daisy has ''blonde'' hair which suggests Princess Peach.

: Finally, the film Daisy has not a single trait one can connect with the video game Daisy. Name one, besides the name. Even then, look around... See anyone named "Peach"? They chose it because Daisy is a more common name, whereas "Peach" would sound strange to audiences. This isn't my opinion anymore than your belief she's Daisy is fact. [[User:Redstar|Redstar]] 01:03, 22 November 2009 (EST)

:: The relationship between the two has never been explicitly stated, only implied, in the games, and only several years ''after'' the film was released. The relationship depicted in the film was the first suggested of romance between characters named "Luigi" and "Daisy", so there's no basis that this was a video game-portrayal.

:: I have several of the scripts. [[User:Redstar|Redstar]] 01:08, 22 November 2009 (EST)

::: Umm... Okay? What does you being a redhead have to do with anything? I'm not debating what hair color Daisy has, I'm simply saying the film Daisy has blonde hair. The same color as Peach.

::: Daisy wasn't in any golf games at the time of the film's release, which wouldn't really matter because the script was written several years before the film was released anyways, and her being Luigi's caddy wouldn't suggest anything. Sorry, I don't know what you meant by "nice try there".

::: I'm pretty sure any admin won't ban me for this because I've tried to be civil and I'm discussing this with you. While the information is ultimately speculation, all speculative information points to Peach over Daisy. You haven't submitted a single piece of evidence suggesting the film Daisy is the counterpart to the video game Daisy other than her name. [[User:Redstar|Redstar]] 01:18, 22 November 2009 (EST)

:::: Yes, you ''do'' need to provide your "facts". You just can't post speculative fan-opinion as fact, which you clearly are doing.

:::: And why doesn't the movie belong on here? It was a Super Mario adaptation, the very ''first'' video game-to-film adaptation, and was a faithful adaptation thereof. It deserves to be on here just as much as any other page. [[User:Redstar|Redstar]] 01:33, 22 November 2009 (EST)

== RE: Again ==

Hi there, the reason we "overrulled" your edit on the Peach article is because the "sports installments" of Mario spinoff games still don't really count. What was put there before your edit was perfectly fine. However, in the case of Redstar, I checked the edit history and I see no case to overrule his edits so far (besides, he also place a notice on the article's talk page). Besides, I see where he's coming from when he said that "repeated" info and such had to be taken out to make the article better, if I'm not mistaken. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! Am I to conclude from your recent edits that the Princess Peach article had a mess of problems...? Even though I'm a sysop and monitor this page very closely, I can see why you have an issue with this. I'm beginning to also conclude that you're telling me that spinoff installments <b>do</b> count overall? My assumption is that in the case of Birdo, you're going all the way back to Peach's first encounter with her. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! == Re: Just Peachy ==

If anything, those relationship sections should be removed, as per a proposal that passed a couple months back. Only the most important relationships have any reason to stay, and that includes neither Birdo nor Toadette: any information pertaining to their interactions with Peach can simply be included in the appropriate appearances' sections. Trimming the sections is a step in the right direction - doubly so if it removes speculation and preferential treatment to certain types of appearances. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 15:32, 29 November 2009 (EST)

== RE: The Pecah/Daisy "Summary" Fiasco ==

I understand where you're coming from in your addressing your concerns, it's just that in my opinion -- the summaries of the Princess Peach and Princess Daisy should be focused on the "adult selves" mainly; mention of their "baby counterparts" are really not needed at the beginning. Besides, as already stated, we already have links to their "baby counterpart" articles in their respective sections (Baby Peach from Princess Peach's "M&L: P.I.T." section, and Baby Daisy from Princess Daisy's "Mario Kart Wii" section). And second, as I have already pointed out, the "milestone" of Peach's video game appearances has already been mentioned in the article's "Trivia" section. Once again, I appreciate the sending of your concerns my way, and I do hope you understand where I was coming from with this.

With that said, I've got some concerns of my own -- explain to me on the edit you did on the Bowser Jr. article that even though Bowser Jr. is an "antagonist" of Princess Peach, that he is "affiliated" with her. This doesn't make any sense to me. o_O --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! [[User:MeritC|User Page]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 01:35, 30 November 2009 (EST)

No offense, FD09, but it seems like you're undoing my edits every time, even though I'm trying to do my job keeping the articles in check (recently the Mona page), while still keeping important/accurate details on there. Are you saying that I'm doing it in the wrong way (or am I missing something because it's like you're saying I'm not working with you and/or others here)? : AHA! It just hit me. This tells me I can't really "overrule" anything at all if the info inserted into articles and such was seriously worth mentioning (except removing small stuff that's "useless/obvious info")...? So, you're saying that you "overrulled" past edits of mine on articles recently because there wasn't any strong reasoning for doing so and/or my actions doing nothing but taking away the reader's interest! == A question ==

Hello, FD. This question may seem out of the blue, but it's kind of important, since I'm working on a wiki maintenance/activity report. I was wondering if you had anyone you know from real life is a member of the MarioWiki? You see, I'm trying to categorize users by how many edits they make, which articles they work on the most, the average size (in bytes) of their contributions, how much part they take in the community, who goes on chat, who has siblings or friends on the wiki (and in extension, how many of those are known from real life), an estimated time spent online for each person, how long they've been a member, etc. I've already asked all the Sysops that I can contact on the forum, and I now intend to start out with the "largest contributors" to the site that don't have Administrative powers. I realize this may sound a little silly, but it's strictly for maintenance. {{User:Stooben Rooben/sig}} 22:45, 6 December 2009 (EST)

Yeah, the Princess Daisy article again -- I'm curious to know (as well as others, possibly), in the gallery section of the main page of it -- it's like you're telling us that the majority of pictures for both screenshots/artworks category should focus on the "current" Daisy? I never simply cut pictures from a big image with background. Images (like that Yoshi image or the Star Coin image) are released as character artwork or object artwork on the official [[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]] website or manual. There is really no problem with these images. They are uploaded months ago and nobody (including sysops) ever made a problem of it.

Hey there, FD09; nothing personal, but the recent edits that you did on that section of Daisy's article were a bit much because from what I (and possibly others) have read, it's not focusing on Daisy herself (instead, it's focusing on all participants), hence the revert. == RE: Images ==

I'm not sure what to say...except ask you a series of questions:
* Do you have any emulators at your disposal? From the earliest, to the latest? (Direct way to snapshot very clear images, but slow because you have to get were you need to go)
* Alternatively, what kind of websites do you use if you can't get what you find? (Mine is GameKult, mainstream and underground game sites, and most of the time Google - if you do creative ways to type good keywords)
* Do you have a compression program that can compress your images without the loss of quality? PNG in particular? Additionally, do you have tools to clean up white remains when it comes to seeing character artwork? (Improves image compression)

I asked you these questions to determine the stuff I can assign to you, or if optional - you can request a list of what kind of game you want to focus on. I can't replace all the images alone, since I'm still having my time doing image maintenance (it's day 14) so I need assistance. If you have any additional details regarding your experience on uploading images like other image uploaders, feel free to provide more info.

The image must be no larger than 640 × 480 (likely due to emulation issues, as it cannot properly emulate certain parts that make it look like the actual image, additionally it would look weird when it's scaled up). It must be also PNG, and due to the fact you're going to upload PNG files - I think it's time for you to give you a compression tool that I use for the majority of the png images: [http://www.vbgore.com/PNG_Monster PNG Monster]. --{{User:RAP/sig}} 03:23, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

==Re: Policy==
I don't know where it is, actually. My main computer can't load the proposals archives, and all I've found while using the laptop is one voting down the removal of those sections. I'm sure there was an agreement since then to at least moderate them, but not destroy them, but I haven't dug it up yet, I'm afraid. It could also be in the main page's talk archive - I recently found a discussion there which I could have sworn was a proposal... - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 05:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
:Fair enough: I usually try to find the actual proposals or conversations as well, but my lousy memory for dates trips me up more times than I'd like to admit. However, I do request that you don't re-add the "Other Characters" section to Daisy's page, since that goes against how every other Relationship section is organized: if you really feel that Toad and Toadette deserve to be mentioned, they should get individual sections. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 06:38, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

==Koopalings' images==
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by sharpening the artwork's outline. In terms of making images transparent, I have to remove the white background color and initially replace it with transparency for efficiency, and clarity (for those background colors in the wiki). One possible reason would be that the wiki's image rendering system had to resize the PNG image to the intended thumbnail size the article is supposed to be viewed (in comparison to JPG images, it will go for the same thing, but defects will appear on the image, and around it). The resized image wouldn't be like a zoomed out original size image that actually shows the flakes (Use Firefox or IE that has the zoom option on a large image you are viewing and zoom out to see the image being sharp: like [[:File:DK_DKSwing.png]]). But again, I'm still not sure. Can you clarify this a bit further? --{{User:RAP/sig}} 07:15, 22 August 2010 (UTC) [[Special:Contributions/RAP|Still don't actually get it, I recently uploaded compressed images (during image maintenance - almost to the end!) with transparency and they look great. I suppose it's the defects around the image when the image used to be in JPG form that makes it less sharp.]]

If you didn't get your response in your talk page (which is here), I changed up the communication a bit - that I only make comments in my own talk page. My comment responding to yours is in there. :o --{{User:RAP/sig}} 08:30, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

===PNG Compressing===
*I want to let you know that [[User:RAP|RAP]] is doing a project which involves compressing every single PNG image on the Mario Wiki.  Please don't oppose his work by reverting PNG images to their non-compressed forms, as image compression makes it easier for people to view large images. {{User:M&SG/sig}} 13:14, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
===Screenshot Requests===
*Are you referring to ''Super Smash Bros. Melee''? {{User:M&amp;SG/sig}} 17:59, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
*I would only be able to pull that request off with Dodgeball, as the other sports will display the current score whenever you get a good view of the character. {{User:M&amp;SG/sig}} 08:04, 13 April 2011 (EDT)
**Of course, there's also the introductions before a match starts. {{User:M&amp;SG/sig}} 08:06, 13 April 2011 (EDT)
**Is this the kind of screenshots that you want?<br>{{multiframe|http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/9854/matchintro.png|align=center}}<br>{{User:M&amp;SG/sig}} 08:14, 13 April 2011 (EDT)
*I was only displaying the alternate outfits for the Final Fantasy team characters; Ninja, White Mage, and Black Mage.  It's not like I was doing that for all the characters.  Also, I had to crop the images so that they're easier to see in thumbnail view. {{User:M&amp;SG/sig}} 08:15, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
*Then I guess that means that the Melee images that I uploaded can't be cropped either; for example, the Mewtwo and Ganondorf trophies.<br>[[File:Trophy52.PNG|150x150px]] [[File:Trophy53.PNG|150x150px]] [[File:Trophy54.PNG|150x150px]] [[File:Trophy64.PNG|150x150px]] [[File:Trophy65.PNG|150x150px]] [[File:Trophy66.PNG|150x150px]] {{User:M&amp;SG/sig}} 21:56, 19 April 2011 (EDT)

==Princess Daisy (film)==
I've been gone from the Wiki for quite a few months but I'm back to do some work on articles related to the film. I noticed you did a lot of expansion on the [[Princess Daisy (film character)]] article I created so I just wanted to thank you. I'm going to be doing a lot of rewrites and expansion myself since I'm more familiar with the backstory of her character that wasn't seen in the film but it really is a big help to be able to work off something already there. == Re:WHOA ==

Eh… I told Porplemontage how to fix it. It was caused by some sort of a glitch in the wiki's caching software that prevented the list of ip addresses that had tried too many incorrect passwords on a given account from being cleared. The feature that normally checks that list and stops you from logging in if you're on it is disabled now, so it shouldn't cause a problem again in the future. {{User:Twentytwofiftyseven/sig}} 06:40, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

== Mario Sports Mix Materials ==

I just got your message from your "other account"; you still haven't told me about that White Mage art for ''Mario Sports Mix'' that you have edited from that White Mage/Black Mage team pic that Lindsay151 uploaded to these parts earlier (and as I said on your other talk page, I too have asked her where she got said materials from; I tried searching foreign gaming news websites and turned up with nothing). --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! [[User:MeritC|User Page]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 07:08, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
: No, I didn't say that there wasn't anything wrong with what you're doing; it's fine so far. And I'm still waiting on Lindsay151 to answer our question on said MSM arts she recently uploaded here. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! == Daisy Picture Revert ==

I just noticed in the history for the Princess Daisy article that you changed the picture to the "team art for Peach/Daisy" for Mario Sports Mix. While I have no objections to this since ''Mario Sports Mix'' got released, I don't really recall an agreement being reached that it would be the picture to be used. Unless you're trying to aim for showing the best pictures that represent Daisy well on the article itself. Trying to figure it out here. *rotfl* --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! == Another "revert"... ==

Explain to me where we are allowed to mention unlocking criteria in character articles, because I honestly believe the unlocking criteria was primarily for the game articles themselves. Nothing personal, but it's like you're saying that my recent edits are just useless because it takes away from everything being comprehensive. o_O --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! == "Mario Sports Mix" Player Cards from SI Kids ==

Hey there, I just noticed you got those cards from that Sports Illustrated Kids site (I was wondering the same thing). But anyway, I also noticed you placed them in the character articles as well; I suggest you'd better "resize" them for it's making the character articles a bit weird in their respective sections. That is, unless someone is planning to make a template showing those same ''Mario Sports Mix'' character statistics, then that's another story. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! Request {{user|M&SG}} as well, because I don't have all characters unlocked. Also about close-ups: you can't actually move the cmera directly to the character without cheating, and those cheats were not yet released. Maybe, just character in action perhaps? {{User:SWFlash/Sig}}
