So Mysterii showed in the Triforce Wiki discord server an old Japanese guidebook magazine that has ''tons'' of artwork missing from A&A's coverage of TAoL - recolors, Great Palace enemies (but not bosses, unfortunately), and lots of misc. actions for Link that aren't even in the FDS manual. And it's clearly by the same artist. This also shows the yellow Daira artwork predates the western release, and the Carock art was originally red like the sprite. (And in my luck, the last page is an ad for ''Golf: Japan Course'' - ie the game I'm currently ripping from). Anyways, [https://archive.org/details/zines_zelda_famimaga_1987_aol_guide_600dpi/mode/2up here]'s a link. :Oh dang, that's really cool! Tokuma Shoten also made pre-Shogakukan and pre-Nintendo Power guides, so they seem pretty reliable as a source at that time. I also like the magazine's defense/parry art. The illustrations seem to confirm that Reflex is intentional. I'll also take it as confirmation on what happens when the curtain closes (someone tell [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkhSG4HL8nc&t=191s Boundary Break]). Still doesn't seem to have info on that "Sage" though, despite giving him having a text bubble. I know this is paltry in comparison, but the other day, I happened upon an alternate name for the Magic Jar [https://archive.org/details/NintendoPower1988-2004/Nintendo%20Power%20Issue%20007%20%28July-August%201989%29/page/n59/mode/2up here].
