Tingle is a character from the Legend of Zelda series, first appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. He appeared in  Super Smash Bros. Melee in the stage Great Bay, where he will blow up a balloon and rise into the air with it, creating another platform for players. However, the balloon can be popped very easily, sending Tingle back down to the stage, or even splashing into the water around it. He also got a trophy in Super Smash Bros Melee and was an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, creating random effects on the stage.

Tingle also appears in the Japanese version of WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase in 18-Volt's microgame Mogitate Tingle, which is based on his first starring appearance Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. The player has to support Tingle in his fight against a pig. The microgame was replaced by Kid Icarus in all localized versions, even though Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland was released in Europe.

|align=left|Tingle is a mysterious middle-aged man who thinks he's "the very reincarnation of a fairy." His bizarre behavior and unique speech are just little pieces of his vibrant personality. Tingle travels by way of a small hot-air balloon, making maps of the lands below him. Pop his balloon, and Tingle will fall to earth to sell his maps.
