According to [[The 'Shroom:Issue 100/Introducing Poochy|this section]] of the issue 100, Poochy is the mascot of The 'Shroom, this would be a nice way to commemorate Poochy and the reason why August would be the better month, is because Poochy appeared for the first time in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi 's Island, the game was released for the first time in Japan in August 1995 (Poochy mark its 20th anniversary of existence in August 2015).
