Mario's sprite from Donkey Kong.
Is this person in Old MacDonald just Mario dressed up as Old MacDonald, or is he his own character? Evidence for Mario would be the similar clothes and similar face, and that Mario is in the other songs. Evidence for his own character would be the pretty drastic sprite proportions, (like if they were wanting this character to be Mario, why not reuse sprites from the Teapot and Spider songs) the different face, and that he appears on the map as separate from Mario. I hate that I can't say for sure! Perhaps someone could get their hands on the instruction booklet regarding the MC-DOS version of the game! We have the highly important SNES manual, after all. Unfortunately, I don't have the MS-DOS version of the manual. I do have the Early Years CD ROM collection but it doesn't really cover it. My first interpretation is that he's his own character but I can also see him just being Mario. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 02:09, August 26, 2021 (EDT)
Actually the CD ROM manual does say, "Click a world on the menu to go there. For example, in Preschool Fun, Old MacDonald is on Sing Song World." So I think that's not Mario, but Old MacDonald. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 02:12, August 26, 2021 (EDT)
One thing, though, would "Old MacDonald" refer to the song title or the character? Wikipedia itself says that the song is sometimes shortened to just "Old MacDonald". Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:12, August 26, 2021 (EDT)
