The Super Mario Bros. MovieEdit

I really don't think we should include The Super Mario Bros. Movie as an appearance for this. In Odyssey, this particular dress is an artifact in the Lake Kingdom that was stolen for Peach to wear in the wedding; in the movie Peach just wears a wedding dress for the wedding. The suit Bowser wears is definitely a callback, though I find this a bit of a stretch.   Nightwicked Bowser   06:05, April 19, 2023 (EDT)

Agreed. Also, was it stated the Peach (Wedding Dress) is specifically her wearing this dress? PrincessPeachFan (talk) 10:49, April 20, 2023 (EDT)
It's not an appearance but I do believe it's a dress referencing the Lochlady Dress, especially in conjunction to Bowser's outfit being a clearer reference.   It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:36, April 20, 2023 (EDT)
It being a reference doesn't necessarily make it the same dress though. It could be a replica, like the Bridal Gown. But I guess it probably doesn't matter what the exact dress is... Blinker (talk) 18:51, April 20, 2023 (EDT)
The one in Mario Kart Tour does look identical, so I think that could be rewritten to say Peach (Wedding Dress) resembles the Lochlady Dress. The one in the movie however, does not look too similar.   Nightwicked Bowser   19:51, April 20, 2023 (EDT)
I think the dress in the movie is similar to the Lochlady Dress, but it's not the same one. If the movie is canon (which it is as the Mario series doesn't have an officially recognized canon), maybe Bowser designed the dress for Peach with the Lochlady Dress in mind? (If he did design the dress at all, which is kind of unlikely.) Bowser wouldn't have stolen the Lochlady Dress again, surely. It's not the same dress, but it's similar. I'd put this as a distant reference, but not a direct one. I don't think we should list it as really appearing in the movie. --   FanOfRosalina2007  (talk · edits) 16:27, December 7, 2023 (EST)
