Polar Extreme is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party 9. It is a pun on the children's book, The Polar Express.

Introduction

The camera shows the ship at the end. Then, it switches to the players' position.

Gameplay

The competitors must jump on breakable ice chunks which shift under their weight to reach the ship first or survive longest.
