Lava Lobbers
Template:Minigame-infobox Lava Lobbers is a Duel minigame that is found in Mario Party 8.
Introduction
The first player rides inside a small mine cart as it travels along a track and crashes through two wooden doors into a large lava-filled room which appears to be inside a volcano. When the first player's mine cart reaches the end of the track, bumpers stop it from falling into the lava and a rotating platform then spins the mine cart 90 degrees to face the second player in their own mine cart on the other side of the room, as the bumpers and the section of track that the first player rode in on both fall downward. The screen splits in half to show both players and the minigame begins.
Gameplay
The players attempt to shoot their cannonballs each other as both of the players in the minigame have 30 seconds to win. The players actually use the mine carts to move around as the players can dodge or avoid the cannonballs. There are two ways of attacking players with cannonballs; one is that the player can shoot directly to the other player; fast and simple as the other player can dodge can avoid it. The second type of attacking the player is by using the Lob shot; using it is that the player shoots the cannonball at the sky and shoots down onto the player; as the player will have to memorize where the player shot when using the Lob shot. Both players have a health bar, both players have three pieces in the health bar to survive. The player who successfully lobs the other player into the lava by shooting cannonballs three times wins. If both players are kicked out of the minigame at the same time or the timer reaches zero, the minigame will end in a tie.
Ending
The player wins and they attempt to do a winning pose while the other player falls down into the lava with the mine cart and jumps up everywhere rapidly from the lava. If both players are kicked out of the minigame or the timer runs out, either both players perform their losing poses (when the timer runs out) or both players will be jumping in the lava (when both players are out of the minigame) as "Tie" appears on the screen.
