Page 12.</ref> are enemies in ''[[Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze]]''. They are bovines {{wp|African buffalo}}es and are only encountered in some levels of [[Bright Savannah]]. They wear a red bead necklace and sport a golden ring that pierces their snout.

Buffaloafers are initially found grazing on grass in one place. When they notice the [[Kong]]s, Buffaloafers start chasing them around in an attempt to ram their horns into them. If the characters jump on top of a Buffaloafer, the enemy tosses them in the air, causing the Kongs to lose control briefly but without inflicting damage.

When they are lured into a wall, Buffaloafers turn upside-down and reveal their bellies, where the Kongs can apply three stomp attacks to defeat them. They can also be turned on their backs if the Kongs collide with a [[Roll Attack|roll attack]] into their ramming horns. [[Cranky Kong]] can perform three [[Cane Bounce]]s on a Buffaloafer's back to defeat it more directly. The player can also lure the creatures off a ledge, although they will respawn in their inital spot if the Kongs leave their area and return.

Buffaloafers are solitary and can be found in [[Baobab Bonanza]] and [[Rickety Rafters]], where they behave the way described above. In [[Frantic Fields]], a Buffaloafer is flown away by the savannah storm and crashes into a wooden bridge, breaking it right in front of the characters.
