Beetle Mania is a secret mini-game found in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars that can be bought at the Mushroom Kingdom inn. It can be purchased for 500 coins from a blue Toad. After speaking to it enough times, he will ask if Mario would like to buy it. Saying "yes" will add "game" to the 'X' menu. The gameplay is simple: By pressing the buttons A, B or Y, a Beetle shoots stars at red koopa shells that fall over the insect. Hitting one will cause red stars to pop out. These can both hurt the beetle or activate other shells.
