The Waste Basket is used in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars to throw away unwanted items. In the game, Mario can only hold twenty-nine items. As such, if Mario is carrying the maximum amount of items and picks up a new item, he must decide which item needs to be discarded. The description is: "You can throw away unwanted items". However, the player can't throw away important items. The Waste Basket is available from the very start of the game.
