Spore Chimes is a status-changing magic attack used by some monsters (as Carroboscis, Sling Shy and Ding-A-Ling) in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The enemy turns a one member of the party into a Mushroom, preventing to the character fight against monsters through battle. The move is performed as a huge bell resounding over a member, while musical notes drops on the target, to turn it into a mushroom. Carrying the Trueform Pin, the player will prevent the attack.
