They serve as projectiles that are infinitely shot out of [[Squid Shot]]s and have a stronger relative species referred to as [[Electrasquid]]s. They move in a straight line in the direction the Squid Shot is pointing at, until they hit a wall where they will be defeated. Although Squidlys move slowly through the air, they can harm the Kongs upon contact, similarly to [[Bullet Bill]]s from the ''[[Mario (franchise)|Mario]]'' franchise. Squidlys can be defeated by any of [[Donkey Kong]] or [[Diddy Kong]]'s attacks, but they usually crash into a wall where they are destroyed.
