The [[Kong]]s transform into [[Ellie the Elephant]] during the entire battle against Squirt. Squirt attacks by shooting out a large stream of water from its mouth, which can push Ellie off the arena rather than injure her directly. Squirt performs this attack slightly longer for each time it is hit. After doing this, Squirt briefly exposes its eyes out from the waterfall. During this, Ellie can attack Squirt by drawing water into her trunk and then shooting into both of Squirt's eyes twice. This must be done three times to defeat Squirt. It takes twelve hits to defeat Squirt, six for each eye. When the Kongs defeat Squirt, it leaves behind one of the [[Ski]]s.

In the [[Game Boy Advance]] [[remake]], the boss battle was slightly altered, as Squirt takes five hits to defeat. After a few hits, Squirt begins shooting out two ~~stream~~ of water in opposite directions, or by having ~~the~~ both streams circle the area at different speeds.
