The '''Holiday Tour''' is the eighty-fifth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which begins on December 14, 2022 and ends on December 27, 2022. It sees the return of [[GBA Snow Land|Snow Land]] from ''[[Mario Kart: Super Circuit]]'' as a [[classic course]] as well as the addition of [[Wii DK Summit|Wii DK Summit R/T]], complementing the winter theme of the tour. [[Merry Mountain]] and [[Vancouver Velocity]] both return, with the former coinciding with the course's inclusion in Wave 3 of the [[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass|Booster Course Pass]] DLC for ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]''. The '''Holiday Tour''' was the eighty-fifth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on December 14, 2022 and ended on December 27, 2022. It is being rerun from December 13, 2023 to December 26, 2023 as the game's hundred-and-eleventh tour.


A two-tour Holiday Celebration begins in this tour and runs until the end of the <!--[[New Year's 2023 Tour|-->next tour<!--]]-->.
This tour saw the return of [[GBA Snow Land|Snow Land]] from ''[[Mario Kart: Super Circuit]]'' as a [[classic course]], making this the first tour to only introduce one course to ''Mario Kart Tour'' since the [[Sundae Tour (2022)|2022 Sundae Tour]] nine tours prior, if both race courses and battle courses are counted. The tour also introduced the R/T variant of [[Wii DK Summit]]. [[Merry Mountain]] and all three routes of [[Tour Vancouver Velocity|Vancouver Velocity]] also return, with the former coinciding with the course's inclusion in Wave 3 of the ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass|Booster Course Pass]]'' DLC for ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]''. In addition, all race courses in this tour were snow- and/or ice-themed. The tour introduced a winter variant of [[Larry Koopa|Larry]] as a new driver, the first and only driver variant for a [[Koopalings|Koopaling]]. The [[Fire Rosalina Cup]] also debuted in this tour, marking the first appearance of a cup based on a driver variant.

Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in [[Track]] in the [[Cup]] using [[Driver]] for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.

This tour's [[Coin Rush (Mario Kart Tour)|Coin Rush]] course was Merry Mountain, which was reused from the [[Cat Tour (2021)|2021 Cat Tour]] and the [[Holiday Tour (2021)|2021 Holiday Tour]]. The menu's background featured the present tower from Merry Mountain as the landmark for this tour, which was reused from the 2020 Winter Tour and the 2021 Holiday Tour.
 
During the first half of the tour, players could receive the [[Mii|Reindeer Mii Racing Suit]] for placing high in the ranked cups, while players were able to receive [[Yoshi (species)|Pink Yoshi]] and the [[Pink Turbo Yoshi]] as high placement rewards in the ranked cups during the second half of the tour.
 
Similarly to the [[Sydney Tour (April-May 2021)|April-May 2021 Sydney Tour]], [[New Year's 2022 Tour]], [[Spring Tour]], and [[Pipe Tour]], the rerun  trailer and social media announcement were publicly released later than the usual time.

Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in [[DS DK Pass]] in the [[Mii Cup]] using the [[Mii|Santa Mii Racing Suit]] for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.
