If they wanted to change the name to a "non-offensive" version, they should have made it consistent with Lazy Shells and called them Lazy Troopas. It fits with their extremely slow attack.
(Does it still do the "ready to launch" quote in the remake, and is it still erroneously shared with Tub/Grand?)

Big Troopas, originally known as Heavy Troopas, are giant Paratroopas that appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its Nintendo Switch remake. They appear in the sky portion of Bean Valley as well as inside Nimbus Castle during Valentina's occupation. They are notably one of the only large enemies to appear on the overworld, as they guard certain doors. Their only attack is launching themselves towards a party member, which takes two turns to prepare. They are similar to Grand Troopas, to which the game also refers to as Heavy Troopas when it states "Heavy Troopa’s ready to launch."
