Koshas appear in four levels: Gloomy Galleon, Fungi Forest (at night), Crystal Caves, and Creepy Castle. Three Koshas also appear in the lobby to Creepy Castle. They struggle to carry around their heavy club, which they try to smash the Kongs with. If the active Kong gets squished by Kosha's club, they lose two melon slices of their health. If a Kosha swings its club overhead and misses the Kong, it struggles lifting its club for a few seconds; in this regard, they are similar to Kutlasses from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. If a Kong throws an orange at a Kosha as it notices, the Kosha will whack the orange away, rendering it ineffective. | |||
Koshas can withstand most attacks due to their helmet. The Kongs can only defeat them by either using their instrument move, their shockwave ability, by Chunky Kong hitting them while under the effect of Hunky Chunky, or if they throw an orange at Kosha while it is off-guard. When a Kosha gets defeated, it yells as it falls, then its club hits its head. | Koshas can withstand most attacks due to their helmet.
