This article is about the red fish that appeared in DK: King of Swing. For the Beanish character from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, go here.
Bubbles is a red balloon fish that and savior of Clu Clu Land. Somehow, Bubbles ended up on Mushroom World during the events of DK: King of Swing. Bubbles was the most well-rounded character in the game, with balanced stats of four in both Jump and Attack. To unlock Bubbles, the player must clear Diddy Kong Mode and collect all 24 medals. Bubbles can only be used in Jungle Jam Events. Oddly, despite being a hero, Bubbles was partnered with the villainous King K. Rool.
Bubbles made an unexpected cameo in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a trophy. According to the trophy, Bubbles is female but according to instruction manual of Clu Clu Land, Bubbles is male. Another conflicting subject is that Bubbles is able to walk on dry land, yet he or she is a balloon fish which clearly cannot walk on dry land. A Sea Urchin, which is an enemy from Clu Clu Land (as seen in the Trophy Information below) was seen as an item in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
