When [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] arrived in [[Chucklehuck Woods]] (or, more specifically, Bubbles' shrine in [[Mother Chuckalola]]) to acquire some Chuckola Reserve to save [[Queen Bean]] from a [[Belly Blech Worm]]-based stomach disease, Bubbles' soda reached perfection and actually became a living monster, the [[Chuckolator]].
Though the player does not fight Bubbles himself, the soda maker will assist in the battle against his creation. When the Chuckolator reaches critical HP, Bubbles will dance in every few turns and tell it a joke, restoring its health. Despite his assistance, however, the creature falls.

When the Mario Bros. defeat the soda, Bubbles is so outraged that he caused the floor to collapse, leaving the Mario Bros. to fall into a cave. If the Bros. are to go back to the woods, they find that Bubbles is no where to be seen. He doesn't appear in the game after this. Bubbles has a brother named [[Boddle]], the president of the [[Yoshi Fan Club]]. He also has an oddly prominent zipper on his back.
