'''Wario Waft''' is [[Wario]]'s down special move in the ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'', ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS]]'' / ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Wii U|Wii U]]'', and ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]''. Once it is performed, Wario flatulates, damaging nearby players. The attack gets stronger the longer players go without using it, ranging from a tiny "poot" to a massive explosion. If it is used continuously, over and over, it is very weak, but if it is not used for a long time, it becomes a large explosion. Also, depending on how long the players wait, Wario flies upwards upon doing the move.

If Wario is glowing brown, the waft is charged up completely. If players have waited long enough, Wario flies quite a distance—enough for the move to be used as a recovery move. If players charge it up completely and use it in the air, they could KO themselves. At any time, if a flame is in the vicinity of the waft, it causes it to ignite and create an explosion, causing more damage.

A fully charged Wario Waft deals up to 42% damage, but it has less knockback than most other Wario Waft levels. In ''Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS'' / ''Wii U'', it deals 27% damage, but it has increased knockback. Also, if players are using Wario in his ''[[WarioWare (series)|WarioWare]]'' outfit, they can get a hint about how strong the Wario Waft will be by looking at Wario's exposed belly. It bulges gradually over time, increasing 1% damage at a time. However, this hint is not available with Wario's original outfit or [[Wario-Man]]. A fully charged Wario Waft gives Wario the biggest recovery, and it does not become helpless, but he does risk self-destructing himself if he ascends past a [[stage]]'s blast line.

If Wario-Man unleashes a fully charged Wario Waft, the clean hit deals up to 50% damage, and it can potentially make one-hit KOs under normal circumstances.

Wario's weakest "poot" (which is the uncharged waft) deals no damage, but it does trip most opponents, and if performed as Wario-Man, it stuns opponents. After the uncharged waft, Wario faces the screen and chuckles.

In ''Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS'' / ''Wii U'', Wario Waft has one of two custom variants:
*'''Rose-Scented Waft''' charges faster than the default Wario Waft and adds a flower onto any damaged targets. The hitbox is also larger, but the attack deals less knockback than normal.
*'''Quick Waft''' charges very quickly but deals less damage and knockback.

In ''[[Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Nintendo DS)|Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games]]'', Wario encounters a [[Chain Chomp]] in [[Blizland]]. He uses his flatulence to push it off a platform in [[Blow Away Chain Chomp!]]
