You mentioned in the edit you made that the template {{tem|ref needed}} does the exact same thing as {{tem|refrequest}}. However, my mindset was that whereas ref needed is meant for singular pieces of uncited facts, the template I made could be used for pages that have a ton of uncited info throughout the entire article- for example, [[Nintendo]] literally has absolutely no citation at all, so I thought it would be easier to put a notice at the top of the page rather than put {{tem|ref needed}} next to every single individual piece of uncited information. It's worth mentioning that Wikipedia [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Refimprove has a similar template], as ''well'' as a  [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Citation_needed citation needed] template.

I'm not trying to convince you to remove the delete tag from the template or anything, and next time I'll keep in mind that I should make a proposal/discussion before making a new template as you said, but I'm just elaborating as to where I was coming (and how it was supposed to be different from ref needed).
