:#Yeah uh, the Mario Portal's History page that you've provided? That doesn't only list mainline Mario Party titles, or only Mario Party titles: it actually lists every game in the Super Mario franchise, without any sort of distinction. Using THAT as your source of every Mario Party title being a mainline Mario Party title is downright ridiculous, because, as I just said, it doesn't make any sort of distinction between any of these titles. Nowhere does it say which ones are mainlines, spinoffs or rereleases to which series, or which ones belong to which subseries to begin with. You might as well say that Super Mario Strikers is a mainline Super Mario title just because "Super Mario" is in the title, AND is listed here as well. It's very faulty logic. I've already stated here that using the Mario Portal as a source for what counts as a mainline Super Mario title doesn't say anything because it just haplessly lists every Mario title without making distinctions, and the same applies to what counts as mainline Mario Party games.

:If you wanted to actually list Mario Party games like Nintendo does... again, they do that in Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars. Also, just so you know, basically the reason we have divided Mario Party titles by home console game and handheld game is because we're unsure where games such as Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars fall into, given they're still home console releases that play like the classic Mario Party games from 1 to 8, but aren't numbered. 18:35, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

::Actually, Mario Portal does make distinctions between series, there's an option on that page to filter by specific series. But yeah, I'm not sure that makes it worth reorganising the Mario Party games over it, they probably just forgot about Mario Party-e's existence. There's also the oddity of "Super Mario RPG" being listed as a series containing only the original game and its remake, while the two Mario + Rabbids games, which we do have a series page for, are the only games listed there to not be classified in a series. 06:02, May 19, 2024 (EDT)
