The instruction manual calls this thing a "W logo button" (making it an official term; "Treasure Button" appears to be conjectural), but with a circled "W" (sort of like © or ®). How to convey this though? {{User:7feetunder/sig}} 21:50, 3 July 2017 (EDT)

:[http://www.gamesdatabase.org/Media/SYSTEM/Nintendo_GameCube/Manual/formated/Wario_World_-_Nintendo.pdf The manual], for easy reference (page 21). I'm not comfortable with using "W logo button" as an official name, since it's only used once and the following mention only calls it a "button". Also, it's not capitalised, which is generally a sign that it's not an official name. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 22:00, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
::I get what you're saying. I don't like "W logo button" as a name either. Is there a different official name we can use for this thing? I don't own any official guides. {{User:7feetunder/sig}} 22:10, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
:::I own the Prima guide, but it's unhelpfully vague as well. If someone happened to own the player's guide, that would be convenient. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 22:16, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
::::Older discussion, but I maybe should have noticed this sooner: while page 21 of the American English manual only refers to them as (circled) "W logo buttons", and the Nintendo Power guide mostly calls them "treasure buttons" while the Prima guide calls them "Buttons", equivalent page 19 of the British English manual refers to them as (circled) "'''W ''B''uttons'''" (still retaining the generic mention of "button" afterwards, but the first instance is properly capitalized). :::::For the sake of linking to the article, I'd rather avoid the use of complicated symbols in title names. We already have that with what [[Heart]] links to, and that's not exactly something I'm fond of. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 00:09, March 30, 2020 (EDT)
::::::Except that it can easily be rectified by using redirects. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 16:51, March 30, 2020 (EDT)
