Short Version Theme Song

This article lists lyrics for the "short version" of the theme song, but where is this version used? I was curious, so I went through every episode one-by-one but did not encounter it. I'm probably going to double-check later, but if it's only used once that seems remarkable enough to be noted somewhere, perhaps in a trivia section if not in the main body.
