I know this conversation is about a year old, but, Beecanoe, that kinda thing belongs on the forum,unless your saying that he ''is'' in more games, that we left out.And he was never called Dry Bone Bowser in any games, but it does make sense, because as Pseudo-dino said, Bowser is a Koopa, and this is a skeletal version of Bowser, thus meaning he is a skeletal Koopa, which is a Dry Bones. I'm kind of wondering why Dry Bowser's CSS icon from ''Mario Kart Wii'' is being used, instead of his ''Mario Kart Wii'' artwork for the infobox.  I know that Dry Bowser's artwork has him with his kart, but it's the only artwork choice we have. Yes we do. There is a video on Youtube (which is now private) which shows the castle stage of the special world. He appears the boss there. He seems to fight the same way as the [[False Bowser]]s except that his flame is blue. I saw the video when it was still public and I can confirm that this is 100% true. Besides, the Source is in the Super Mario 3D Land page. (but it won't be of much use). [[User:MarioMaster720]]

Similar to [[Metal Mario]] (there is [[Metal Mario (form)|the form]] and [[Metal Mario (character)|the character]], I think Dry Bowser is a form and a character : in New Super Mario Bros., it is shown that Bowser becomes Dry Bowser. However, in Mario Kart Wii, Bowser and Dry Bowser are two distinct characters who can be seen together. Dry Bones is a character, not a species. Since Bowser is a Koopa and Dry Bowser is just a skeleton version of Bowser, then Dry Bowser should be a Koopa. Dry Bones himself is a Koopa. <s>Why don't we put Koopa/Dry Bones under the species section instead?</s> {{user|joelmcallister}}

Like, if someone died they might become a ghost, instead of being a human, so this is a similar idea in which as he is dead he becomes a Dry Bones. I was watching videos of Mario Party Island Tour and something surprised me. Bowser himself says, and I quote, '' "Poor King Bob-Omb, up in smoke! What's next, [player] ? WHO ARE YOU ? Meh, whatever, the next  guard (Dry Bowser) is '''a close family friend'''. BWAHAHA'' ". So, Dry Bowser is not just a skeleton version of Bowser, but also a separate character. Could Dry Bowser be considered a subspecies of Dry Bones ?
It seems this concept is also present in other games, like Mario Kart (both playable) and Mario & Sonic (Dry Bowser works for Bowser).

Mario Party is not developed directly by Nintendo, and a mistake in the story concept is bound to happen. We call him a Dry Bones currently, but as it stands, all other "Dry Bones" are skeletal ''Troopas'', which Bowser is not---although Dry Bowser does have quite the beak. We don't count, for instance, [[Bony Beetle]] as a Dry Bones, even though it's a skeletal Koopa as well. Another thing is, the Japanese name makes no allusion to Dry Bones, simply being "Hone Koopa," while Dry Bones is "Karon." It is admittedly similar to [[Dull Bones]]'s name, Honenoko, but only marginally and that's an almost ''certain'' coincidence, especially since they're structured differently. My point?
