:::Hmm... that does complicate things. Well, until Nintendo gets its act together regarding this, I suggest we post that according to all of the sources listed on TMK saying one way he is DK's grandfather/father. It's obvious to everyone, so I don't know why I'm saying this, but we should feel more welcome to point out inconsistencies than try to guess at what Nintendo is saying. {{User:Stumpers/sig}} 00:46, 17 March 2008 (EDT) | :::Hmm... that does complicate things. Snake's codec conversation on Donkey Kong in Brawl confirms that Donkey kong's grandfather was the Kong | Snake's codec conversation on Donkey Kong in Brawl confirms that Donkey kong's grandfather was the Kong kidnapped pauline and fought Mario, and cranky Kong has previously been confirmed to fill this role. As I mentioned in the Donkey Kong discussion section...why does it have to be one or the other? If Cranky is DK's grandfather, but raised him as his son, wouldn't that make him both DK's father and grandfather? In DKCR Cranky says to DK "Make sure to shut the gate on your way out. I didn't raise you in a barn!", indicating that Cranky did in fact raise DK, making DK his adopted son.
