The Storeroom Key is a special item found in Paper Mario. It opens the storeroom in Harry's Shop.

Originally belonging to Harry, the Storeroom Key is stolen during Chapter 4 when the Shy Guys invade Toad Town (this can be seen if Mario visits Harry's Shop at the beginning of Chapter 4). The key is then put in a treasure chest at the east end of the Blue Station area of the Shy Guy's Toy Box. After getting the key, Mario can return it to Harry or use it to open the door of the storeroom directly; in either case, Harry will allow him to take whatever he wants in the storeroom. Retrieving the key is necessary as Mario needs the Toy Train in the storeroom to go to the other areas of the toy box.
When Mario returns to Toad Town, the Shy Guys started to appear and attempt to do some stealing and mischief all over the town during the events of Chapter 4 in the very beginning. When Mario goes near to Harry T. ’s Shop, one of the Shy Guys stole the Storeroom Key and hid the item in Shy Guy's Toy Box. When Mario goes to the area of the place where it has the treasure chest that contains the Storeroom Key, Kammy Koopa flies by with her broom and uses her magic to place an enemy or an item depending on the answers Princess Peach tells to Bowser as he asks the question about what Mario hates. Unfortunately, Kammy Koopa isn’t sure about sure on one of Peach’s answers but Bowser tells her what to do anyways. When Mario recovered the item from the treasure chest in Shy Guy’s Toy Box, give the key back to Harry T. and he will let Mario to get anything he wishes in the store. The reason the key was important is that because the locked storeroom contains the important special item, the Toy Train.

The Storeroom Key uses the same sprite as the Odd Key.
