| The '''star menu''' is a menu that first appeared in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story]]'' and its [[Nintendo 3DS|3DS]] remake, ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey]]'', replacing [[Stuffwell]] from ''[[Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time]]'' and the [[suitcase]] from ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]''. Here, the player can select a total of six options aligned by stars (hence the menu's name), view the amount of [[coin]]s they currently have, view the current play time (this is not present in the remake), and, when it becomes available, the [[badge]] meter. In the remake, the player can also check the settings to switch between Normal and [[Easy Mode]].
