Like Shady Koopas, Shady Paratroopas have an attack power of 3, and they attack by diving at Mario like other Paratroopas. When stomped, they lose their wings and revert to normal Shady Koopas; performing any [[Action Command]] that results in landing multiple jump attacks will put them on their back once they fall. As with the Shady Koopa, [[Goombella]]'s [[Tattle]] dialogue and the [[Tattle Log]] erroneously state that their attack increases when they get back up; instead, they use a shell attack while on their back that hits both Mario and his partner, and has twice the base power of their normal attack.
