Roulette is a Bonus Challenge that involves luck in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, its remake for the Game Boy Advance, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and its sequel, Yoshi's Island DS. Players place a bet on how many lives they wager on the middle of the first circle, and then the two circles have a light that will rotate. One of the circles counts as the equation, which will either be addition or multiplication, while the other one contains numbers ranging from 0-3. Players get the set number of lives depending on the equation they land on.
Roulette is a Bonus Challenge that involves luck in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, its remake for the Game Boy Advance, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and its sequel, Yoshi's Island DS. Players place a bet on how many lives they wager on the middle of the first circle, up to a maximum of ninety-nine, and then the two circles have a light that will rotate. In the original game, it is the unlockable minigame of World 5, whereas in the sequel, it is in World 4.

One of the circles counts as the equation, which will either be addition or multiplication, while the other one contains numbers ranging from 0-3. Players can gain up to three lives with an addition equation, but when a multiplication equation is used, they can potentially double or triple their wagered lives. Roulette cannot be played if the player has one life remaining.
For example, if players bet fifteen lives, and the two circles land on X and the three, they get 45 extra lives (15 x 3 = 45), which are displayed on the middle of the second circle. Or if they bet ninety nine lives, and the circles land on "X" and the "3", the player gets 297 extra lives (99 x 3=297). Of course, anything multiplied by zero equals zero, and the Bonus Challenge will end if that happens. Fortunately, if one of the circles lands on a +, no lives will ever be lost. Up to 297 lives can be earned at one time. Up to 297 lives can be earned at one time because, they can only bet up to 99 lives.

Players get the set number of lives depending on the equation. For one example, the player may bet fifteen lives, and if the two circles land on "×" and "3", they get 45 extra lives (15 × 3 = 45), which are displayed on the middle of the second circle. This gives the player 30 extra lives when the 15 lives entered is taken into consideration. Similarly, if the player bets the maximum of ninety-nine lives, and the circles land on "×" and "3", 297 extra lives will be earned (99 × 3 = 297).
This Bonus Challenge can not be done if players only have one life. Also, this is the only Bonus Challenge that has a risk.

If the players get "+0" or "×1" as their equation, they'll simply get back the lives that they wagered without any consequence. Getting a "×0", however, results in players losing all of their wagered lives. There is about a 21% chance that the player loses extra lives from playing this game (there are six "×" symbols and seven "0" symbols).
