The '''Mario vs. Luigi Tour''' was the ninety-eighth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on June 14, 2023 and ended on June 27, 2023. This tour pitted Team [[Mario]] and Team [[Luigi]] against each other for the third time after the [[Mario vs. Luigi Tour (2020)|2020]] and [[Mario vs. Luigi Tour (2022)|2022]] [[Team Rally]] tours. This tour marked the longest gap between two Team Rally tours, as the previous one, the [[Peach vs. Bowser Tour (November–December 2022)|November–December 2022 Peach vs. Bowser Tour]], occurred fourteen tours prior. It was also the first Team Rally of 2023 (though it was the second tour of 2023 to feature special tokens, the first being the [[Mii Tour (2023)|2023 Mii Tour]]).

This tour debuted three [[classic course]]s: [[N64 Mario Raceway|Mario Raceway]] from ''[[Mario Kart 64]]'', [[GBA Luigi Circuit|Luigi Circuit]] from ''[[Mario Kart: Super Circuit]]'', and [[GCN Waluigi Stadium|Waluigi Stadium]] from ''[[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!]]''. It was the first tour since the [[Winter Tour (2023)|2023 Winter Tour]] to debut three courses simultaneously, and was the first tour since the [[Halloween Tour (2019)|2019 Halloween Tour]] to debut three classic courses together. It was also the first tour since the [[Sundae Tour (2022)|2022 Sundae Tour]] where two variants of the same course are in the same cup, as well as the first tour to feature a cup that only contains SNES courses; in this case, the [[Baby Peach Cup]] and its [[Glider Challenge|bonus challenge]].

Like the [[Mario Tour (2023)|2023 Mario Tour]], all Mario Circuits available in the game at the time of the tour made an appearance, except [[RMX Mario Circuit 1]]. All courses introduced in that tour also made their first reappearances in this tour. [[SNES Ghost Valley 1]] also made its first appearance since the [[Halloween Tour (2022)|2022 Halloween Tour]].

As of this tour, every [[Lightning Cup]] course from ''[[Mario Kart: Super Circuit]]'' has appeared in ''Mario Kart Tour'', making it the second cup in the series consisting of only [[new course]]s to have all of its courses appear in ''Mario Kart Tour'' (the first being the [[Mushroom Cup]] from ''[[Mario Kart 7]]'', which had all of its courses debut in the [[New York Tour]]).

The Coin Rush course for this tour was [[GCN Waluigi Stadium]]. The menu's background featured the grandstand, hot air balloon, and rotating sign from [[N64 Mario Raceway]] as the landmarks for this tour.

This was the first tour to only include one of each of the Battle Courses included in a given tour, as all previous tours had two of each.

This was the last tour to feature the thirteenth set of [[List of challenge cards in Mario Kart Tour#Expert Challenges|Expert Challenges]], which started in the [[Yoshi Tour (2023)|2023 Yoshi Tour]].

Team Mario would once again win the Team Rally with 52% of team tokens, thus obtaining its third win, tied with Team Peach.

This was the final tour to introduce a new N64 and GCN classic course.

==Today's Challenge==
Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in [[3DS Mario Circuit]] in the [[Mii Cup]] using [[Mii|Monty Mole Mii Racing Suit]] for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.

*This is the second tour after the [[Penguin Tour]] to use a new icon for a reused bonus challenge. The bonus challenge in the [[Baby Luigi Cup]] is the [[vs. Mega]] [[Larry Koopa|Larry]] challenge on [[SNES Mario Circuit 2]], which was the exact same as the bonus challenge in the [[New Year's Tour (2020)|2020 New Year's Tour]]'s [[Roy Cup]], except its icon shows Larry in the [[Landship]] instead of showing [[Lemmy Koopa|Lemmy]], even though Larry is the actual opponent.
