The '''Luigi Key''' is an item in ''[[Super Mario 64 DS]]''. The Luigi Key is the second character [[key]] to be retrieved in the game. The Luigi Key was created by [[Bowser]] and given to [[King Boo]] and his army of [[Boo]]s after they caught [[Luigi]] and trapped him behind his door. The key was brought to [[Big Boo's Haunt]], where [[Mario]] had to get into a secret room using a [[Power Flower]] and navigate through a maze to find King Boo, and defeat him. The Luigi Key is made of gold with a "L" in the center of it, as well as a [[Luigi's Cap|Luigi Hat]] on top of it. Once the player unlocks Luigi's door with this key, the Luigi Hat will appear in courses.
