Cranky uses the nectar of the rare [[Tin Banana Tu]], a purple species of banana with an extremely foul taste, to create a vaccine and plans to vaccinate his fellow Kongs. Diddy Kong schemes his way out of receiving the vaccine using two coconuts, but is later bitten by [[Polly Roger]], which infects him; afterwards, Diddy spreads the disease to [[Krusha]], who then spreads it to [[King K. Rool]], both via sneezing. Fortunately, thanks to Donkey Kong, the three victims are cured before the disease completes its final, fatal stages.
